Buzz in. Call out. Cash in.

Build a board, put it on the TV, and everyone buzzes in from their phone. Then the callouts start.

Nobody installs anything. Players scan a QR code and they’re in.

The basics, done right

Phone buzzers

Clock-synced buzzing that’s fair across a room full of different phones, with lockouts for anyone who jumps early.

Clues made for the big screen

Pictures, music clips and video play right on the TV, plus zoom-out and blur-reveal pictures that sharpen while everyone races to buzz.

Host from your phone

Run the whole game from your phone with the answers in your hand. The TV pairs with a short code.

Beyond the buzzer

Callouts

Think someone cheated? Call them out. Catch them and their winnings are yours.

Bait

Plant a secret clue. If someone wrongly calls you out on it, it pays you double.

Sandbag

Miss on purpose and get paid for it, unless somebody catches you.

Cheat Sheet

Secret answers on your phone. Use them if you dare.

Back a Rival

Put money on someone else’s round and win when they do.

Power Ups

Cards that bend the rules mid-game, played at exactly the wrong moment.

Split Final

Two final categories and one wager. Split it however you like.

New clue types

Ballpark (closest number wins), rebus puzzles and two-part races.

Every twist is a setting. Turn on as many or as few as your crowd can handle.

Your board, your rules

  • Write boards in the editor, or import a spreadsheet as CSV.
  • Or let an AI assistant draft the whole board as a file you import in one step.
  • Pictures, audio clips and video on any clue.
  • Up to six categories a round across three rounds and a Final, so one board can last all night.
  • Three looks for the TV: Classic, Circus and Conspiracy.
  • Every game is saved, so you can replay the night afterwards.

Questions

How many players can join?

Up to 50 players in one game, each on their own phone.

What do players need?

A phone with a browser. They scan the QR code on the TV, type a name and play. No app and no sign-up.

Do I need six categories?

No. Use as few as you like, or up to 20 a round.

Can I import questions from a spreadsheet?

Yes. Upload a CSV, including links to images and audio, and Cluejack builds the board.

Can an AI assistant build my board?

Yes. Any assistant that can write a file can draft a whole Cluejack board: categories, clues, answers, wager clues, picture and audio links, even a Split Final. It hands you a CSV or a .cluejack.json board file and you import it in the app. The formats are documented for agents at cluejack.com/llms.txt.

How does the host see the answers?

On the host’s phone. The TV only shows what the room should see.

What are callouts, and can I turn them off?

A callout accuses another player of cheating on a clue. Get it right and you take their winnings. Get it wrong and you pay. Callouts, bait, sandbagging and every other twist are settings, so a straight game is one switch away.
